<p><font size="+2"><font face="Arial">Yes that was a bad blunder on
my part thinking the camcorder would be able to pick up the
CW. I can hear the CW in and out in the WAV file but that is
about all. Also Bill is going to slow down the CW which will
help a lot I think. One comment about the waterfall.....I have
this Flex waterfall adjusted to show a flea-fart from a block
away <g>. I tweaked it for several hours strictly for uW
weak signals. I have it set on the hairy edge and the way it
is set right now even a weak signal looks "impressive". For
example the CW never rose more than about 5 dB above an
averaged noise floor. But that 5 dB, like you said looks
pretty substantial. It really comes in handy when I am running
a sked with someone and we are both aligning our
dishes......the slightest hint of his signal and I will see
him.</font></font></p>
<p><font size="+2"><font face="Arial">Anyway TU for
looking/listening. I will post better WAV's once the signal
comes back up. Right now it is only visible 10% of the time as
this rain/cold front just hit us. 73</font></font><br>

any CW in the video. I assume you used an acoustic method
instead of hard wiring the receiver audio into a line or mic
input. The shack background noise and your voice audio
apparently covered it. Reminds me of working with my CWOPS CW
Academy class over the internet. An ALC like action in Skype
and other video conferencing software automatically adjusts the
mic level. That's caused problems <br>

affect which renders the CW uncopiable. Turning off the
automatic mic level and manually adjusting permitted us to more
or less overcome the problem. From the substantial trace on the
waterfall I'd say that the CW signal should have been quite
copiable. I have decades of experience copying weak CW in noisy
environments but there just wasn't enough to work with in the
two files. I just started to hear CW in the last few seconds of
the .WAV file but it was too weak to copy.<br>

from the WAV file? I am not a good CW op and I can tell it
is there but it is too fast and too low in S/N for me to
copy. I am hoping that if others can hear it there may be
hope for me and means I best get practicing. Hope you
